General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-18654) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human AFF2. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with AFF2 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by protein A. This gene encodes a putative transcriptional activator that is a member of the AF4\FMR2 gene family. This gene is associated with the folate-sensitive fragile X E locus on chromosome X. A repeat polymorphism in the fragile X E locus results in silencing of this gene causing Fragile X E syndrome. Fragile X E syndrome is a form of nonsyndromic X-linked cognitive disability. In addition, this gene contains 6-25 GCC repeats that are expanded to >200 repeats in the disease state. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. DPABH-18654 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:200–1:1,000), IHC (1:25–1:100) applications. DPABH-18654 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
