This product (Catalog No. DPABH-14194) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ABCB8, targeting the amino acid region 403–596 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human ABCB8 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ABCB8 (ATP-binding cassette sub-family B member 8) is a protein located in the mitochondrial inner membrane and belongs to the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily. It plays a crucial role in maintaining mitochondrial iron homeostasis and the maturation of cellular iron-sulfur cluster proteins. ABCB8 is essential for normal cardiac function by promoting the export of iron from mitochondria. Additionally, ABCB8 forms a complex with the mitochondrial KATP channel, protecting cells from oxidative stress damage. The loss of function or abnormal expression of ABCB8 is associated with various diseases, including cardiomyopathy and iron metabolism disorders. DPABH-14194 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC (1:50–1:500), IF/ICC (1:50–1:500) applications. DPABH-14194 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
