Application Notes
IHC: A 1:250-1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected Neurophysin 2/NP-AVP in rat brain and rat pituitary tissue. RIA: Target specificity of a representative lot was confirmed by RIA. Only rat neurophysin 2, but not neurophysin 1, oxytocin, or angiotensin II, can compete against 125I-neurophysin 2 for binding mAb. EM: A representative lot immunostained granulated neurosecretory vesicles (NSVs) in all axons, Herring bodies, and terminals by EM using rat posterior pituitary LR White sections. IP: A representative lot immunoprecipitated radiolabelled neurophysin 2, but not neurophysin 1 WB: 2.0 μg/mL of this antibody detected Neurophysin 2/NP-AVP in 10 μg of rat pituitary tissue lysate.
