This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL200) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human ADAM8, targeting the amino acid region 51–150 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with ADAM8 from mouse, rat, dog, and cow. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family. Members of this family are membrane-anchored proteins structurally related to snake venom disintegrins, and have been implicated in a variety of biological processes involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis. The protein encoded by this gene may be involved in cell adhesion during neurodegeneration, and it is thought to be a target for allergic respiratory diseases, including asthma. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
CABT-BL200 is suitable for use in flow cytometry (FC) (1 μg/test), ICC/IF (1:100–1:500) applications.
CABT-BL200 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
