The polyclonal antibody O-146 works well in both ELISA and western blot for a number of species. Since assay conditions vary, the optimum dilution should be determined for each particular application. Note: The antibody is dissolved in a buffer containing BSA and is therefore not recommended to use for coating.

General Notes

This product consists of polyclonal rabbit antibodies (affinity-purified IgG fraction) against zona radiata proteins from Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar).
The polyclonal antibody binds with high affinity to the three zona radiata proteins (Zrp) α, β and γ, in plasma samples from Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar). The antibody also cross-reacts with Zrp from a variety of species including rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), Arctic char (Salvelinus alpinus), Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua), turbot (Scophthalmus maximus), flounder (Platichthys flesus) and halibut (Hippoglossus hippoglossus). The degree of cross-reactivity differs between the different Zrp proteins and with the methods employed. Cross-reactivity with zona pellucida proteins may be observed in fish ovaries or eggs.
The polyclonal antibody works well in both ELISA and western blot for a number of species.
