General Notes
This antibody recognises Teplizumab in Western blots and direct ELISA. Teplizumab (Tzield) is a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody developed for the prevention of type 1 diabetes in at-risk individuals. It targets the CD3 receptor on T cells, modulating the immune response and reducing the attack on insulin-producing pancreatic beta cells. The drug aims to delay the onset of diabetes by preserving beta cell function and maintaining blood glucose levels.
