Store it at +4°C for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20°C ~-80°C, 0.1% HSA or BSA is recommended. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Introduction
Piry virus was isolated in 1960 from a spleen and liver sample of an adult Matachirops opossum using Swiss mice. Antigenically, the virus is "ungrouped", but later Chandipura virus isolated in India from a human patient and was found to be antigenically related to Piry virus.
