cAbTEM02 is a clone that tightly binds and inhibits TEM-1 β-lactamase, with an IC₅₀ of 0.035 μM. It exhibits high specificity and shows no cross-reactivity with BcII. Consequently, cAbTEM02 has potential as an enzyme inhibitor and diagnostic tool, and may serve as a template for the design of peptidomimetic drugs.
