This antibody fragment serves as a crystallization chaperone and recognizes EE-tagged proteins. It binds MBP-KEE with an SPR-determined Kd of 147 nM and also forms a detectable complex with EE-tagged intimin, facilitating structural studies of tagged proteins.
Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded

Mouse anti-EE tag monoclonal scFv, clone 3D5/EE_48.K is a research antibody reagent targeting EE peptide tag EYMPME. The Glu-Glu/EE epitope tag is a short peptide tag; the EYMPME sequence is recognized by engineered anti-EE scFv variants that have been investigated as crystallization chaperones.
Reported research applications include Crystallization chaperone, EE-tag recognition, structural studies of tagged proteins. The reported SPR Kd is 147 nM for MBP-KEE. The construct also formed a detectable complex with EE-tagged intimin. This antibody is an engineered 3D5 derivative carrying VH S30T/S32K relative to 3D5/EE_48. It was evaluated for compatibility with internal EE tags and crystallization-chaperone use. The 147 nM value is specific to the 3D5/EE_48.K–MBP-KEE SPR system and must not be transferred to 4NKD or 4NKO. No direct tag-bound crystal structure or broader specificity panel was reported.
