Specifications
Immunogen
Recombinant human Activin A.
Applications
Application Notes
Suitable for use in Neutralization, ELISA (capture).
Clone A2 binds recombinant mature human Activin A, inhibits Activin A-mediated signaling in a cell-based reporter assay, and has been used as a capture antibody with clone A1-HRP as detection antibody. Optimal working concentrations should be determined experimentally.
Cell-based neutralization IC50 <3 nM against 4 nM recombinant mature Activin A
Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
General Notes
Human Anti-Human Activin A monoclonal antibody, clone A2 [HRP] (Cat. No. CABT-L3313W) is a research antibody reagent targeting Activin A. Activin A is a disulfide-linked homodimer of two inhibin beta A subunits in the TGF-beta superfamily. It binds activin receptors and regulates SMAD-dependent signaling involved in diverse developmental and physiological processes.
This antibody is suitable for Neutralization, ELISA (capture). Clone A2 binds recombinant mature human Activin A, inhibits Activin A-mediated signaling in a cell-based reporter assay, and has been used as a capture antibody with clone A1-HRP as detection antibody. Optimal working concentrations should be determined experimentally. Cell-based neutralization IC50 <3 nM against 4 nM recombinant mature Activin A. The clone does not bind Activin B, GDF-8, GDF-11, TGF-β1, TGF-β3, or BMP4 in the evaluated binding assay.
