This product (Catalog No. DPATB-H81954) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human Rhodopsin. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Rhodopsin from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The protein encoded by this gene is found in rod cells in the back of the eye and is essential for vision in low-light conditions. The encoded protein binds to 11-cis retinal and is activated when light hits the retinal molecule. Defects in this gene are a cause of congenital stationary night blindness. DPATB-H81954 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IHC (1:50–1:100) applications. DPATB-H81954 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.42% Potassium phosphate, 0.87% Sodium chloride, pH 7.3, 30% glycerol, and 0.01% sodium azide. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
