General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPATB-H81916) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human PPM1B, targeting the amino acid region 1–80 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with PPM1B from mouse, rat, chicken, dog, cow, horse, rabbit, and sheep. It has been affinity purified by protein A. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the PP2C family of Ser/Thr protein phosphatases. PP2C family members are known to be negative regulators of cell stress response pathways. This phosphatase has been shown to dephosphorylate cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), and thus may be involved in cell cycle control. Overexpression of this phosphatase is reported to cause cell-growth arrest or cell death. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Additional transcript variants have been described, but currently do not represent full-length sequences.
DPATB-H81916 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application.
DPATB-H81916 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
