Animals were immunized against GST-Rab escort protein-1 (REP-1). Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells. The antibody is specific for REP-1 from human lymphoblastoid cell lines and peripheral blood leukocytes. It is useful for detecting the level of REP-1.This antibody is used as a diagnostic tool for choroideremia (CHM), an X-linked form of retinal degeneration, by immunoblot analysis.
