This product (Catalog No. DPATB-H81176) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human Beclin 1, targeting the amino acid region 201–330 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Beclin 1 from mouse, rat, and pig. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes a protein that regulates autophagy, a catabolic process of degradation induced by starvation. The encoded protein is a component of the phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase (PI3K) complex which mediates vesicle-trafficking processes. This protein is thought to play a role in multiple cellular processes, including tumorigenesis, neurodegeneration and apoptosis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
DPATB-H81176 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC-P (1:200–1:1,000), IHC-F (1:200–1:1,000), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:200–1:1,000) applications.
DPATB-H81176 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
