Intended Use

Enzyme Immunoassay for the determination of 2,4-D in Sample Extract.

Contents of Kit

1. 96-wells microtiter plate. Twelve strips of 8 detachable wells, coated with Anti-2,4D antibody. 96 (8×12) wells
2. Positive Calibrator containing 10 μg/mL of 2,4D. 0.25 mL
3. 2,4D-Alkaline Phosphatase conjugate (24D-ALP). 10.5 mL
4. p-Nitrophenyl Phosphate (pNPP) substrate. Ready to use. 10.5 mL
5. Wash Buffer (10× PBS-Tween), Dilute 10 fold with distilled or deionized water to 150 mL prior to use. 15 mL
6. Stop Solution, 3 N NaOH. 5.5 mL

Storage

All reagents of the kit are stable, if stored at 2-8 C, until the expiration date stated on the kit.

General Description

2,4-D, a member of the phenoxy family of herbicides, was the first successful selective herbicide developed. Its major uses in agriculture are on wheat and small grains, sorghum, corn, rice, sugar cane, soybeans etc. It is also used on rights-of-way, roadsides, non-crop areas, forestry, lawn and turf care, and on aquatic weeds.
