Ab8 and Ab8's Fab fragment (Fab8) can reverse MYDGF's effects in a dose-dependent manner and acts as a neutralizing antibody. MYDGF is a paracrine-acting protein that is produced by bone marrow-derived monocytes and macrophages to protect and repair the heart after myocardial infarction (MI).
