General Notes

This product (Catalog No. DMAB-CPT840) is a rabbit-derived monoclonal antibody raised against human TFAP4. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. TFAP4 is a protein-coding gene located on human chromosome 16p13.3 that encodes transcription factor AP-4 (also known as AP4), a member of the basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper (bHLH-ZIP) family of transcription factors. This protein features a basic domain for sequence-specific DNA binding, along with helix-loop-helix and leucine zipper motifs that facilitate dimerization and nuclear localization. AP-4 primarily functions by binding to the symmetrical DNA consensus sequence 5'-CAGCTG-3' to activate transcription of both viral and cellular genes, influencing processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis.
DMAB-CPT840 is suitable for use in Cytometric Bead Array (0.625-20 ng/mL) application.
