General Notes

This product (Catalog No. DMAB-CPT1035) is a rabbit-derived monoclonal antibody raised against human TBX20. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. TBX20 is a gene that encodes the T-box transcription factor 20 (TBX20), a member of the T-box superfamily of DNA-binding proteins essential for regulating developmental processes, particularly in cardiovascular morphogenesis and adult heart function. The TBX20 gene is located on chromosome 7q31.2 in humans. This transcription factor features a conserved T-box domain that enables it to bind DNA and modulate gene expression, often acting as both an activator and repressor in cardiac gene regulatory networks. TBX20 is highly expressed in the heart, with biased expression in cardiac tissues (RPKM 10.2) and lower levels in adrenal gland and other sites, reflecting its specialized role in cardiogenic lineages across species from arthropods to vertebrates.
