This product (Catalog No. DMAB-CBAS129) is a mouse-derived monoclonal antibody raised against human SNAP25. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. SNAP25 is a protein involved in the regulation of neurotransmitter release and synaptic plasticity. Genetic studies have found associations between SNAP25 gene variants and several neurological and psychiatric disorders, including Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder, and epilepsy. Altered expression levels or function of SNAP25 may contribute to the pathogenesis of these conditions by disrupting neurotransmission, synaptic vesicle trafficking, and calcium dynamics. In Parkinson's disease specifically, SNAP25 concentration is increased in the cerebrospinal fluid, and this increase correlates with cognitive impairment severity, suggesting a potential role for SNAP25 in the cognitive deficits associated with the disease.
DMAB-CBAS129 is suitable for use in ELISA(Cap), ELISA(Det) applications.
DMAB-CBAS129 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate-buffered saline (PBS), carrier-free, with optional 0.09% sodium azide. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
