General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-L1336W) is a humanized-derived monoclonal antibody raised against human SmD1. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Small nuclear ribonucleoprotein D1 (Sm D1), encoded by the SNRPD1 gene, is a core component of small nuclear ribonucleoproteins (snRNPs), which are essential constituents of the spliceosome. Sm D1 belongs to the highly conserved Sm protein family and participates in the assembly of the heptameric Sm ring (B/B', D1, D2, D3, E, F, and G) that binds small nuclear RNAs (snRNAs) such as U1, U2, U4, and U5. This ring structure stabilizes snRNAs and is critical for pre-mRNA splicing by facilitating accurate recognition and removal of introns. Structurally, Sm D1 contains conserved Sm motifs required for protein–protein interactions within the Sm core complex. Clinically, Sm D1 is notable as an autoantigen in systemic autoimmune diseases, particularly systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), where anti-Sm antibodies are considered highly specific diagnostic markers.
CABT-L1336W is suitable for use in Suitable for use in ELISA, WB applications.
CABT-L1336W is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffer, pH 7-8. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
