This product (Catalog No. DMAB-CPT1123) is a rabbit-derived monoclonal antibody raised against human SERINC5. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. SERINC5, also known as serine incorporator 5, is a multi-pass transmembrane protein encoded by the SERINC5 gene on human chromosome 5q14.1, which serves as a host restriction factor in the innate immune response by inhibiting the infectivity of various enveloped viruses, including retroviruses like HIV-1 and non-retroviruses such as SARS-CoV-2 and influenza A virus, primarily through its incorporation into budding virions and disruption of virus-cell membrane fusion. The protein exhibits phospholipid scramblase activity, facilitating the bidirectional translocation of phospholipids across membranes, and is broadly expressed across human tissues, with particularly high levels in the testis, colon, placenta, and leukocytes.
DMAB-CPT1123 is suitable for use in Cytometric Bead Array (0.78-100 ng/mL) application.
DMAB-CPT1123 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS only. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
