General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-L1547W) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against Irisin, targeting the amino acid region 42–112 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Irisin from human, rat, mouse, and canine. Irisin is a hormone-like myokine generated by proteolytic cleavage of the transmembrane protein Fibronectin type III domain-containing protein 5, which is encoded by the FNDC5. It is primarily secreted by skeletal muscle in response to physical exercise and functions as a signaling molecule linking muscle activity to systemic energy metabolism. Irisin has been reported to promote the browning of white adipose tissue, increase thermogenesis, and improve glucose homeostasis and insulin sensitivity. Through these metabolic effects, irisin plays an important role in regulating energy expenditure, obesity, and metabolic health, making it a molecule of considerable interest in studies of metabolic diseases.
CABT-L1547W is suitable for use in ELISA application.
CABT-L1547W is supplied as a lyophilized formulation. Reconstitute with 50 μl of distilled water for the equivalent of undiluted antiserum. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
