General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-L1314W) is a mouse-derived monoclonal antibody raised against human PKD2. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with PKD2 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Polycystin-2, also known as Transient receptor potential polycystin-2 cation channel (TRPP2), is encoded by the PKD2 gene in human. Polycystin-2 contains a N-terminal extracellular region, six transmembrane domains and a cytoplasmic C-tail. Polycystin-2 functions as a calcium permeable cation channel, and is involved in calcium transport and calcium signaling in a variety of epithelial cells. Polycystin-2 interacts with polycystin-1 and TRPC1. Polycystin-2 plays a role in renal tubular development, and mutations in this gene cause autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease type 2 (ADPKD2). CABT-L1314W is suitable for use in IF (immunofluorescence) (1:100) application. CABT-L1314W is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.1% sodium azide. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
