General Notes

This product (Catalog No. DMAB-CPT866) is a rabbit-derived monoclonal antibody raised against human PCYT1A. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. PCYT1A is a protein-coding gene in humans that encodes the alpha isoform of CTP:phosphocholine cytidylyltransferase (CCT-α; EC 2.7.7.15), an enzyme essential for the biosynthesis of phosphatidylcholine (PC), the most abundant eukaryotic membrane phospholipid. Located on chromosome 3q29, PCYT1A catalyzes the committed, rate-limiting step in the CDP-choline (Kennedy) pathway by converting phosphocholine and cytidine triphosphate (CTP) into CDP-choline and pyrophosphate. This process occurs primarily in the endoplasmic reticulum and nucleus, supporting membrane biogenesis, lipid signaling, and cellular homeostasis.
DMAB-CPT866 is suitable for use in Cytometric Bead Array (1.25-20 ng/mL) application.
