General Notes

This product (Catalog No. DMAB-CPT771) is a rabbit-derived monoclonal antibody raised against human MT-ND6. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. MT-ND6 is a gene in the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) that encodes the NADH dehydrogenase 6 (ND6) protein, a core subunit of Complex I (also known as NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase), the first enzyme complex in the mitochondrial electron transport chain. This complex is essential for oxidative phosphorylation, the process by which cells generate adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the primary energy currency of the cell, by transferring electrons from NADH to ubiquinone and establishing a proton gradient across the inner mitochondrial membrane. The ND6 subunit is one of seven mtDNA-encoded components of Complex I, which consists of approximately 45 subunits in total, and is critical for the assembly and function of this multi-subunit enzyme.
DMAB-CPT771 is suitable for use in Cytometric Bead Array (2.5-80 ng/mL) application.
