General Notes

This product (Catalog No. DMAB-CPT1220) is a rabbit-derived monoclonal antibody raised against human METTL9. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. METTL9 (methyltransferase like 9) is a protein methyltransferase that catalyzes histidine methylation, a relatively rare post-translational modification. METTL9 specifically methylates histidine residues within HxH motifs of target proteins, including zinc transporter SLC39A7 (ZIP7), thereby modulating protein function and metal ion homeostasis. It is predominantly localized to the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus, consistent with its role in modifying membrane-associated or secretory pathway proteins. METTL9-mediated histidine methylation has been implicated in the regulation of zinc signaling, cellular stress responses, and cancer cell proliferation, making METTL9 an emerging regulator of intracellular signaling and metabolism.
DMAB-CPT1220 is suitable for use in Cytometric Bead Array (0.625-80 ng/mL) application.
DMAB-CPT1220 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS only. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
