This product (Catalog No. CABT-L1551W) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human Metrnl, targeting the amino acid region 264–311 of the protein. METRNL, also known as Meteorin-like (Metrnl), Subfatin, or Cometin, is a secreted cytokine/adipokine encoded by the METRNL. It is expressed in multiple tissues, including adipose tissue, skeletal muscle, and the central nervous system. METRNL plays a key role in regulating energy metabolism, insulin sensitivity, and inflammation. It has been shown to promote adipose tissue browning, enhance thermogenesis, and modulate immune responses, linking metabolic and immune signaling pathways. Due to these functions, METRNL is considered a potential target for therapeutic interventions in metabolic disorders such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, and inflammatory diseases.
CABT-L1551W is suitable for use in ELISA application.
CABT-L1551W is supplied as a lyophilized formulation. Reconstitute with 100 μl of distilled water for the equivalent of undiluted antiserum. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
