General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DMAB-CPT1183) is a rabbit-derived monoclonal antibody raised against human HARS. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. HARS is a cytoplasmic enzyme that belongs to the class II family of aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases. The enzyme is responsible for the synthesis of histidyl-transfer RNA, which is essential for the incorporation of histidine into proteins. HARS is located in a head-to-head orientation with HARSL on chromosome five, where the homologous genes share a bidirectional promoter. The gene product is a frequent target of autoantibodies in the human autoimmune disease polymyositis/dermatomyositis. DMAB-CPT1183 is suitable for use in CBA(Cap), ELISA(Cap) applications. DMAB-CPT1183 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS only. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
