General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-L1303W) is a mouse-derived monoclonal antibody raised against human COL1. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Type I collagen is the most abundant structural protein in the human body, accounting for approximately 90% of all collagen and about 28% of total protein content, and it serves as a primary component of the extracellular matrix (ECM) in various connective tissues. This fibrillar collagen forms a heterotrimer composed of two α1(I) chains and one α2(I) chain, encoded by the COL1A1 and COL1A2 genes, which assemble into a right-handed triple helix approximately 300 nm in length and 1.5 nm in diameter, characterized by a repeating Gly-X-Y amino acid sequence where X and Y are often proline and hydroxyproline.
CABT-L1303W is suitable for use in ELISA, IHC applications.
CABT-L1303W is supplied as a lyophilized formulation in Lyophilized from 0.01M sodium phosphate, 0.01M sodium borate, 0.15M sodium chloride, 1% dextran, 1% mannitol, pH 8. Reconstitute with 1 ml sterile pure water. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
