Suitable for use in ADA bridging ELISA. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
General Notes
This paratope-specific antibody binds specifically to evolocumab.It can be used as a calibrator in ADA assay. Evolocumab (Repatha) is a fully human IgG2 lambda antibody. It has been approved for treating selected patients with high cholesterol, and for the prevention of heart attack and stroke. The drug prevents the PCSK9 protein binding to the low density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR), thereby increasing the number of LDLRs available and lowering LDL levels.
