General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL6039) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ZNF284, targeting the amino acid region 519–593 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human ZNF284 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ZNF284 (Zinc Finger Protein 284) is a member of the C2H2-type zinc finger transcription factor family that is predicted to function primarily in DNA binding and transcriptional regulation. It is localized in the nucleus and is thought to act mainly as a transcriptional repressor, likely through interaction with chromatin-modifying corepressor complexes such as KAP1/TRIM28 and histone deacetylases, leading to epigenetic silencing of target genes. Like many KRAB-associated zinc finger proteins, ZNF284 is implicated in regulating developmental gene expression programs, cell differentiation, and maintenance of genomic stability. Although its specific downstream targets and biological pathways remain poorly characterized, it is believed to participate in broader transcriptional regulatory networks that influence cellular identity and proliferation. Overall, ZNF284 is considered an epigenetic transcriptional regulator, but its precise physiological roles require further experimental validation.
CABT-BL6039 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:200–1:1,000) application.
CABT-BL6039 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
