General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL6027) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ZNF140, targeting the amino acid region 79–162 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ZNF140 (Zinc Finger Protein 140) is a member of the C2H2-type zinc finger transcription factor family that primarily functions in DNA binding and transcriptional regulation. It is localized in the nucleus and is thought to act mainly as a transcriptional repressor, likely through recruitment of chromatin-modifying corepressor complexes such as KAP1/TRIM28 and histone deacetylases, leading to epigenetic silencing of target genes. ZNF140 is implicated in the regulation of developmental and cellular differentiation programs, as well as the maintenance of genomic stability, consistent with the broader functional roles of KRAB-associated zinc finger proteins. Although its specific target genes and pathways remain incompletely defined, emerging evidence suggests potential involvement in cell proliferation and cancer-related transcriptional dysregulation. Overall, ZNF140 is considered an epigenetic transcriptional regulator, but its precise biological functions require further experimental validation.
CABT-BL6027 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IF/ICC (1:50–1:500) applications.
CABT-BL6027 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
