This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL3845) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human ZIC5, targeting the amino acid region 501–600 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with ZIC5 from mouse, rat, dog, cow, horse, and sheep. It has been affinity purified by protein A. This gene encodes a member of the ZIC family of C2H2-type zinc finger proteins. The encoded protein may act as a transcriptional repressor. Studies in mouse and Xenopus support a role for this gene in neural crest development. Elevated expression of this gene has been observed in various human cancers and may contribute to cancer progression. This gene is closely linked to a related family member on chromosome 13.
CABT-BL3845 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), ICC/IF (1:100–1:500), ELISA (1:5,000–1:10,000) applications.
CABT-BL3845 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
