This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL3765) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human VMA21. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with VMA21 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. VMA21 is a protein-coding gene located on the X chromosome (Xq28) that acts as a crucial chaperone for assembling the vacuolar ATPase (V-ATPase) enzyme, which regulates lysosomal acidification. Mutations in this gene cause X-linked Myopathy with Excessive Autophagy (XMEA), a rare disease characterized by progressive muscle weakness, atrophy, and severe muscle vacuolization. CABT-BL3765 is suitable for use in IHC (1: 150-500), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:50–1:200) applications. CABT-BL3765 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
