General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL5903) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human TSGA13, targeting the amino acid region 1–275 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. TSGA13 (Testis-Specific Gene A13) is a protein-coding gene that is predominantly expressed in testicular tissue and is associated with spermatogenesis and male germ cell development. Although its precise molecular function is not fully characterized, TSGA13 is thought to be involved in structural or regulatory processes during germ cell maturation, potentially contributing to chromatin remodeling, cellular differentiation, or sperm development. Genes with testis-specific expression patterns often play roles in meiosis, flagellar formation, or cytoskeletal organization required for sperm motility. TSGA13 has also been noted in some transcriptomic studies as part of the broader group of cancer-testis antigen-like genes, which may show aberrant expression in certain tumor types. However, detailed mechanistic studies on TSGA13 remain limited, and its functional annotations are still largely inferred from expression profiling rather than direct biochemical characterization.
CABT-BL5903 is suitable for use in IHC (1:20–1:200) application.
CABT-BL5903 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
