General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL3557) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human TEX9, targeting the amino acid region 1–391 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. TEX9, officially known as testis expressed 9, is a protein-coding gene in humans that encodes a 391-amino acid protein localized to centriolar satellites and implicated in ciliary processes essential for cellular organization and motility. The gene is mapped to chromosome 15q21.3 and demonstrates broad tissue expression, with the highest levels observed in the testis (RPKM 5.0), followed by the thyroid (RPKM 4.2) and other tissues. As a member of the cancer-testis antigen (CTA) family, TEX9 is normally restricted to germ cell expression in the testis but is aberrantly upregulated in various cancers, highlighting its potential role in oncogenesis. In esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), TEX9 mRNA binds to eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit b (eIF3b), forming a complex that synergistically promotes tumor cell proliferation, migration, and survival while inhibiting apoptosis, with their co-expression correlating positively in patient samples.
CABT-BL3557 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application.
CABT-BL3557 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
