General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL5833) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human TCP11, targeting the amino acid region 92–441 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human TCP11 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. TCP11, formally known as t-complex 11, is a protein-coding gene located on the short arm of human chromosome 6 (6p21.32) that encodes the T-complex protein 11 homolog, a potential single-pass membrane protein predominantly expressed in the testis. This testis-specific protein, conserved across mammals, functions as a receptor for the fertilization-promoting peptide (FPP), playing a crucial role in spermatogenesis, sperm capacitation, acrosome reactions, morphology, and motility, which are essential processes for male fertility and successful fertilization. Disruptions in TCP11 expression or function have been linked to male infertility, highlighting its importance in reproductive biology.
CABT-BL5833 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:2,000–1:10,000) application.
CABT-BL5833 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
