General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL5816) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human TAPT1, targeting the amino acid region 257–402 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human TAPT1 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes a highly conserved, putative transmembrane protein. A mutation in the mouse ortholog of this gene results in homeotic, posterior-to-anterior transformations of the axial skeleton which are similar to the phenotype of mouse homeobox C8 gene mutants. This gene is proposed to function downstream of homeobox C8 to transduce extracellular patterning information during axial skeleton development. An alternatively spliced transcript variant encoding a substantially different isoform has been described, but its biological validity has not been determined. CABT-BL5816 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000), IHC (1:50–1:500) applications. CABT-BL5816 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
