General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL5745) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SPZ1, targeting the amino acid region 1–430 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. SPZ1 (Spermatogenic Leucine Zipper 1) is a transcription factor belonging to the basic leucine zipper (bZIP) family that plays a role in regulating gene expression during spermatogenesis. It is primarily expressed in testicular germ cells, where it contributes to the control of genes involved in male germ cell development, differentiation, and maturation. SPZ1 functions as a nuclear transcriptional regulator by binding specific DNA sequences through its bZIP domain and modulating downstream target gene expression. It has also been implicated in signaling pathways related to cell proliferation and may interact with oncogenic pathways such as MAPK/ERK, suggesting a potential role in tumor biology under certain contexts. Although its precise regulatory network is not fully defined, SPZ1 is considered an important factor in reproductive biology and testis-specific gene regulation.
CABT-BL5745 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC (1:20–1:200), IF/ICC (1:50–1:500) applications.
CABT-BL5745 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
