This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL5744) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human SPINK6, targeting the amino acid region 21–80 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with SPINK6 from mouse, rat, dog, pig, cow, horse, rabbit, and guineapig. It has been affinity purified by protein A. SPINK6 is a human gene located on chromosome 5q32 that encodes serine peptidase inhibitor Kazal-type 6, a member of the Kazal-type serine protease inhibitor family predominantly expressed in the skin and its appendages. The protein it produces, SPINK6, functions as a selective inhibitor of multiple kallikrein-related peptidases (KLKs), including KLK4, KLK5, KLK6, KLK7, KLK12, KLK13, and KLK14, but not KLK8, thereby regulating proteolytic activity essential for epidermal homeostasis.
CABT-BL5744 is suitable for use in IHC-P (1:100–1:500), IHC-F (1:100–1:500), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:100–1:500) applications.
CABT-BL5744 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
