This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL5583) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SAMD4A. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Sterile alpha motifs (SAMs) in proteins such as SAMD4A are part of an RNA-binding domain that functions as a posttranscriptional regulator by binding to an RNA sequence motif known as the Smaug recognition element, which was named after the Drosophila Smaug protein (Baez and Boccaccio, 2005 [PubMed 16221671]). CABT-BL5583 is suitable for use in IHC (1:25–1:100) application. CABT-BL5583 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
