General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL5501) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human RARS, targeting the amino acid region 1–190 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. RARS, also named ArgRS (arginyl-tRNA synthetase), belongs to the class-I aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase family which catalyze the aminoacylation of tRNA by their cognate amino acid. In higher eukaryotes, one of the two arginyl-tRNA synthetases (ArgRSs) has evolved to have an extended N-terminal domain that plays a crucial role in protein synthesis and cell growth and in integration into the multisynthetase complex (MSC) (PMID:25288775). RARS has two isoforms with the molecular weight of 75 and 67 kDa.
CABT-BL5501 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:6,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate), IHC (1:50–1:500) applications.
CABT-BL5501 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
