General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL2951) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human POLR3D, targeting the amino acid region 249–398 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. POLR3D is a protein-coding gene in humans that encodes the D subunit (also known as RPC4) of RNA polymerase III, a multi-subunit enzyme complex responsible for transcribing small non-coding RNAs, including transfer RNAs (tRNAs), 5S ribosomal RNA (rRNA), signal recognition particle RNA (7SL RNA), and U6 small nuclear RNA (snRNA). Located on the short arm of chromosome 8 (8p21.3), spanning approximately 9.5 kb with 9 exons, the gene produces a 47 kDa protein of 398 amino acids that is involved in stabilizing the initiation complex during transcription. Originally identified in 1987 through functional complementation of a temperature-sensitive mutation (tsBN51) in Syrian hamster BHK-21 cells that arrests the cell cycle in the G1 phase at non-permissive temperatures, POLR3D highlights a link between RNA polymerase III activity and cell cycle regulation.
CABT-BL2951 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
CABT-BL2951 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
