General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL5389) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PHACTR1, targeting the amino acid region 154–426 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human PHACTR1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Phosphatase and actin regulator 1 (PHACTR1) is a protein-coding gene located on human chromosome 6p24.1 that encodes a member of the phosphatase and actin regulator family, which binds actin monomers and regulates the reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton as well as protein phosphatase 1 (PP1) activity. The encoded protein, also known as PHACTR1, consists of 509 amino acids in its longest isoform and features multiple conserved RPEL (Arg-Pro-Glu-Leu) repeats that facilitate actin binding, primarily through regions containing repeats 2 and 3, alongside a C-terminal domain that interacts with PP1 to modulate its enzymatic activity and subcellular localization. PHACTR1 plays critical roles in cellular processes such as endothelial cell survival, tubule formation, neuronal migration, synaptic formation, and the maintenance of cortical architecture during brain development.
CABT-BL5389 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:3,000), IHC (1:50–1:500), IF-P (1:50–1:500) applications.
CABT-BL5389 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
