General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL2589) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human NDUFA4L2. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with NDUFA4L2 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by protein A. NDUFA4L2 (also known as COXFA4L2) is a protein-coding gene in humans that encodes a small subunit of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, specifically NADH dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] 1 alpha subcomplex subunit 4-like 2, which localizes to the inner mitochondrial membrane and regulates oxidative phosphorylation. Located on chromosome 12q13.3, the gene produces a protein that is integral to the mitochondrion and predicted to be part of complex IV (cytochrome c oxidase), though it primarily functions in modulating complex I activity to adapt cellular metabolism to environmental stresses like hypoxia. This protein is ubiquitously expressed across human tissues, with enhanced RNA levels in blood vessels and the esophagus, expressed in various brain regions, and it exhibits cytoplasmic localization in cells.
CABT-BL2589 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:3,000) application.
CABT-BL2589 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
