Q: I want to know if this kit can be used for the detection of metronidazole in samples from the compound extraction from blood plasma using methanol, besides the price of the kit.

A: If you want to extract Metronidazole in plasma using methanol, you have to dry it completely and then resuspend the dried residue in "Sample Dilution Buffer" for ELISA analysis. But based our experience, probably it is better to try either direct dilution of the serum sample with "Sample Dilution Buffer" or using acetonitrile for extractions. If you can describe more about your detection range and requirement, we might be able to recommend a more appropriate method for you.
