General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL2392) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human MGAT3, targeting the amino acid region 184–533 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human MGAT3 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. In the small intestine, ~75% of triacylglycerol (TG) synthesis occurs via the monoacylglycerol acyltransferase (MGAT) pathway.Three MGAT isoforms (MGAT1, MGAT2 and MGAT3) have been identifed based on their extensive homology to DGAT2. MGAT1 is primarily expressed in the adipose tissue, stomach and kidney but not in the small intestine. MGAT2 and MGAT3 are most highly expressed in the small intestine, suggesting that these two MGAT forms are responsible for the resynthesis of dietary TG that is packaged into chylomicrons. CABT-BL2392 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IHC (1:50–1:500) applications. CABT-BL2392 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
