General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL2032) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human KIAA0528, targeting the amino acid region 651–1000 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human KIAA0528 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. KIAA0528 is a protein-coding gene originally identified through large-scale human cDNA sequencing projects (the KIAA gene collection) and remains relatively poorly characterized. It encodes a large predicted intracellular protein that lacks well-defined enzymatic domains, suggesting a role in protein–protein interactions, scaffolding, or regulatory processes rather than direct catalytic activity. Sequence conservation across vertebrate species indicates that KIAA0528 is evolutionarily conserved, implying an important but still unidentified cellular function. Expression profiling suggests broad tissue distribution, consistent with a housekeeping or fundamental cellular role. However, its precise molecular mechanisms, interacting partners, and involvement in specific biological pathways remain largely unknown, and current functional annotation is primarily based on computational prediction and homology rather than direct experimental evidence.
CABT-BL2032 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate), IHC (1:50–1:500), IF/ICC (1:10–1:100) applications.
CABT-BL2032 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
