General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL1996) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human KCNE1L, targeting the amino acid region 1–142 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human KCNE1L from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Voltage-gated potassium (Kv) channels represent the most complex class of voltage-gated ion channels from both functional and structural standpoints. Their diverse functions include regulating neurotransmitter release, heart rate, insulin secretion, neuronal excitability, epithelial electrolyte transport, smooth muscle contraction, and cell volume. This gene encodes a membrane protein which has sequence similarity to the KCNE1 gene product, a member of the potassium channel, voltage-gated, isk-related subfamily. This intronless gene is deleted in AMME contiguous gene syndrome and may be involved in the cardiac and neurologic abnormalities found in the AMME contiguous gene syndrome.
CABT-BL1996 is suitable for use in IHC (1:50–1:500) application.
CABT-BL1996 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
