General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL1971) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ITPKA. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with ITPKA from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Regulates inositol phosphate metabolism by phosphorylation of second messenger inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate to Ins(1,3,4,5)P4. The activity of the inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate 3-kinase is responsible for regulating the levels of a large number of inositol polyphosphates that are important in cellular signaling. Both calcium/calmodulin and protein phosphorylation mechanisms control its activity. It is also a substrate for the cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinase, calcium/calmodulin- dependent protein kinase II, and protein kinase C in vitro.
CABT-BL1971 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IF/ICC (1:100–1:500) applications.
CABT-BL1971 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.42% Potassium phosphate, 0.87% Sodium chloride, pH 7.3, 30% glycerol, and 0.01% sodium azide. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
